Uniqlo’s new tools for self-expression

The new UT collection continues to draw inspiration from pop culture.

True to its spirit of celebrating individuality, Uniqlo launches its latest UT range which continues to serve as a tool for self-expression.

Drawing inspiration from pop culture – including the realms of art, music, film and more – the brand encourages customers to wear what they love based on their personality and hobbies. .

Among the designs featured at the recent UT convention are the Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary UT, as well as beloved Japanese titles such as “Gundam”, “Doraemon”, and “Pokemon”. There will also be collections highlighting popular and iconic concepts from Lego and Mickey & Friends.

Art lovers will appreciate the collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), one of the most important and influential institutions of its kind, which presents masterpieces of art. Another art-inspired collection is the partnership with Magnum Photos. This international photographic cooperative that has documented most of the world’s major events and personalities since the 1930s. The Brands Car Collection features automotive designs from legendary car manufacturers.

Finally, winning designs from the UT Grand Prix (UTGP), a design competition that uses t-shirts as a creative medium, will be showcased at the convention. The theme for this year’s competition was Peanuts.
