On Friday, India beat West Indies by three points in the first ODI at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. After the match, West Indies legend and one of the greatest hitters of all time, Brian Lara, met India head coach Rahul Dravid. Lara, from Trinidad, was one of several former West Indies players who were present at the stadium for the first ODI. Lara and Dravid crossed paths as players several times during the 1990s and 2000s.
BCCI took to Twitter and shared a photo of Lara and Dravid standing next to each other.
“Two captions, one frame,” read the photo’s caption.

In response, West Indies ran out by three points as Mohammed Siraj’s excellent final assist gave India a 1-0 series lead.
West Indies had gotten off to a poor start in the hunt, losing Shai Hope’s first wicket.
However, Kyle Mayers and Shamarh Brooks steadied their ship, adding 117 runs for the second wicket.
Mayers hit a brilliant 74 while Brooks scored 46. Both were fired by Shardul Thakur in quick succession.
Brandon King has also completed his fifty years and kept the West Indies in pursuit. However, Yuvzvendra Chahal came with a timely breakthrough to make it harder for the hosts.
Akeal Hosein and Romario Shepherd played unbeaten cameos of 32 and 39, respectively, but Siraj kept his composure in the final game to take India over the finish line.
