‘Ready for ’em all’ – Jonathan Haggerty shows off ripped bantamweight frame ahead of 145lb debut on ONE

A few days before his return to the ONE circle on November 18, Jonathan Haggerty looks strapped up and ready for war.

‘The General’ posted a photo of his physique training in England days before his fight with Vladimir Kuzmin in Singapore at ONE on Prime Video 4.

Haggerty has had an incredibly successful career in ONE Championship so far. Since beating Joseph Lasiri, he has had a duo of memorable fights with Rodtang Jitmuangnon and is currently enjoying a two-fight winning streak.

In less than a week, he will face Russian slugger Vladimir Kuzmin in Singapore. The Russian striker shared his first two outings in the ONE Championship, winning his debut against Chris Shaw earlier this year before losing a tough decision to veteran Muay Thai fighter Muangthai PK.Saenchai. He will be looking to win against a strong and well-prepared opponent in Haggerty to redeem himself in the sport.

After fighting his entire ONE Championship career at flyweight, Jonathan Haggerty moves up to bantamweight to make a run for the belt. After losing his world title and failing to reclaim it against Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Haggerty proved he is still one of the top contenders in the division, winning back-to-back contests over the past two years. Now he is looking for a new challenge in a heavier weight class.

He’ll likely be oversized compared to the more natural-sized Kuzmin, but Haggerty’s freedom to add weight and muscle should give him the strength and cardio against Kuzmin. Their match at ONE on Prime Video 4 will be streamed live and free to all Amazon Prime Video subscribers across North America.

Jonathan Haggerty gives prediction for Rodtang vs. Lasiri fight

After the war between Jonathan Haggerty and Vladimir Kuzmin, two former enemies of “The General” will fight for the ONE World Muay Thai Flyweight Championship.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon will be defending his belt against Joseph Lasiri in ONE’s co-main event on Prime Video 4, and Haggerty will certainly have great interest in the fight. In an interview with The MMA SuperfanHaggerty gave his prediction for the fight:

“I smell Rodtang [wins]. For some reason, I think Lasiri can pull him out of the bag, but we’ll have to wait and see. I will be happy for both of them if they win”.

While Haggerty holds a win over Lasiri, he is currently 0-2 against Rodtang. It’s common for fighters to choose opponents who have beaten them in the past to win, but Rodtang is also the reigning world champion in this fight. However, since his loss to Haggerty, Joseph Lasiri has also won the world strawweight championship, making it a world champion versus world champion affair.

ONE on Prime Video 4 goes down on November 18 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The card is headlined by Kiamrian Abbasov defending his ONE World Welterweight Championship against ONE World Lightweight Champion Christian Lee. Jonathan Haggerty vs. Vladimir Kuzmin and Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Joseph Lasiri will also take place on the card. The event is streaming for free exclusively for primetime Amazon Prime Video subscribers in the United States.
