Local products and designers within the framework

We love Irish design, so this Siar gift set, above, from the creative duo Aoife and Gary (Rua’s boss, the office cat) is right up our street. Aoife tells us: “Siar photography results from observing Irish landscape and culture in a unique way, with a local perspective, depicting Irish environment, culture and heritage as well as landscape photos.

With over 100 original prints, each photo is printed, titled, packaged and sold from the couple’s studio in County Clare. This set includes a framed print of your choice, a beautiful Trá candle, a greeting card with your message, all packaged for € 52.50. See www.siarphotography.fr for more products and information.

In the bag

I’m a huge fan of Sallyann Marron’s handmade bags, unique and recycled handbags that are sustainable, good for the planet and absolutely beautiful. Glad to hear that she will be showcasing her products at this year’s Ballymaloe Craft Fair.

This year it will take place over two weekends – November 19-21 and November 26-28. It will feature over 150 stalls each weekend featuring artisanal products from Ireland’s best producers, artists, designers and craft brewers.
