This year, more than 250 vacancies have been advertised for UPPSC PCS and ACF/RFO. The total number of vacancies for the Combined State Service Examination is approximately 250 and the application for the ACF/RFO position has not yet been received. The UPPSC PCS and ACF/RFO Preliminary Examination 2022 will consist of two papers: Paper-1 and Paper-2. This exam is reserved for candidates pre-selected on the basis of the marks they obtained in the subject of general studies (test – I) only, provided that the candidate has obtained 33% of marks in test-II:

  • It is compulsory to wear Admit card with affixed Photograph above and Original proof of identity with its photocopy as well.
  • There was a negative marking of 1/3rd Mark for the wrong answers.
  • The questions were in both in English and Hindi.
  • The GS Paper-1 exam consisted of 150 questions of 200 points.
  • The CSAT-2 Preliminary Exam will be a qualifying event with minimum qualifying scores set at 33%.
  • It is mandatory for candidates to appear in both pre-examination papers for assessment purposes. Therefore, a candidate will be disqualified if he does not appear in both tests.
  • The merit of the candidates will be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in paper I of the preliminary examination.

Important Points to Remember after UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam 2022

Based on the Result of the Preliminary Examination, fifteen times the number of vacancies candidates will be declared admitted to the main examination and three times the number of vacancies candidates will be called for the interview.

UPPSC PCS Sector Review: Candidates who qualify for the PCS and ACF/RFO preliminary exam will be called for the main exam. The scores of the main exam will be taken into account for the final selection of candidates. The main UPPSC exam consists of eight descriptive papers. The UPPSC Mains Exam is a deciding round on merit, it has a large weighting as it is 1500 points.

UPPSC PCS Interview Series: Candidates who qualify for the main exam will be called for the staff interview. The interview will be 100 points. Candidates are interviewed by a jury appointed by the UPPSC.
