Bhagwat and Mulayam in same framework add fodder to UP poll policy

Along with the image of the two veteran leaders, Congress wrote in Hindi that the “S” of the new PS stands for “Sanghvad”.

An image of Samajwadi Party Patriarch (SP) Mulayam Singh Yadav with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Mohan Bhagwat, widely shared on social media, sparked a war of words among key political players in Uttar Pradesh before the closely watched assembly elections scheduled for next year.

According to multiple reports, the two veteran leaders met at the wedding reception for Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s granddaughter in Delhi.

An image of the rally shared by the UP Congress unit showed Yadav and Bhagwat sitting together on a sofa and the latter is seen blessing Union Minister Arjun Meghwal.

Along with the picture, Congress wrote in Hindi that the “S” of the new PS stands for “Sanghvad”.

Soon after, the UP BJP also joined and sharing a similar picture wrote a “picture talks a lot”.

Hours later, the SP led by Akhilesh Yadav retaliated by sharing another image of Yadav exchanging jokes with Natioanlist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar and said Congress had forgotten the political etiquette.

In the wake of the tax raids carried out on the premises of the SP leaders, the image of Bhagwat and Yadav will surely lead to more politics in the state linked to the elections.
