Aspirants found the paper ‘difficult and confusing’

UPSC CSE Prelims 2022: The Union Civil Service Commission conducted the first review of the UPSC Prelims 2022 on June 5, 2022. The second shift is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. The analysis of the first quarter review along with the guidelines to be followed while taking the second quarter are mentioned below.

Students who took the exam said that the UPSC 2022 preliminaries were difficult and there was more emphasis on history this year. A student said, “I didn’t expect an easy assignment and it wasn’t. It was expected and there were a lot of questions that were very confusing. It should be noted that the first reactions recorded are different because students from different streams are taking the exam today.

UPSC Prelims Exam 2022: What’s Next?

After a few days, the commission will publish the provisional correction. Candidates will have time to raise objections. After considering the objections raised by them, the final answer key will be published. Candidates who pass this exam will be able to sit for the Mains 2022 exam.

UPSC IAS Exam 2022: Guidelines to follow

  • Registered candidates should be aware that entrance to the exam venue will be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the exam at 2:20 p.m.
  • Candidates must produce the printout of their electronic admission card at the designated place to appear for the examination. Candidates are also required to carry the photo ID card, the number of which is mentioned on the electronic admission card, in order to attend each examination session.
  • In the event that the photograph is unclear, blurry or not available on the electronic admission card, candidates must bring two (2) identical photographs (one photograph for each session) as well as an identity card with photo and the printing of the electronic admission card at the place of the exam to take the exam with commitment.
  • Candidates are also advised to bring a black ballpoint pen as candidates will be required to complete the OMR answer sheets and attendance list with a black ballpoint pen only.
  • Cell phones, pagers, or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like USB drives or smartwatches are not allowed inside the exam room
